A Bradford Exchange design exclusive, this grandly-sized wall hanging edition presents Chuck Ren’s work on hand-laced leather, which is stretched and hand-tied to an intricately sculpted dreamcatcher frame. The natural feel of the leather is the perfect medium for this piece, suggesting the brave’s own attire, while careful hand-lacing to the sculpted frame creates the distinctive look of a dreamcatcher’s webbing.
“The Calling” pays tribute to authentic dreamcatchers adorned with symbols of Native American life. It is individually hand-painted with the authentic look of leather-wrapped wood, carved beadwork, and Native American-inspired icons.
What’s more, the overall design is balanced by real feathers that hang from beaded leather straps, and a replica arrowhead and symbolic image suspended from the center of the frame. Chuck Ren’s art and the surrounding sculpture work in perfect harmony to create a powerful celebration of Native spirituality.
