In honour of our brave Canadian soldiers who valiantly serve to uphold the pride of Canada, the sentiment "Lest We Forget" is boldly engraved on the golden sun. The line "We Will Remember Them" from the "Ode of Remembrance" poem is engraved on the inner band.
